Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar

  • 3 eggs, separated

  • 2 oz honey

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 8 oz sour cream

  • 1 c flour

  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds

  • Butter-flavored cooking spray

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk egg whites until peaks form. Separately, whisk together sugar and egg yolks until mixture lightens in color. Mix in baking soda, honey, and sour cream, then slowly mix in nuts and flour. Finally, fold in egg whites. Spray a 9"x9" baking pan (or a bundt pan  if you have one) with butter-flavored cooking spray and pour in batter. Bake for 35 minutes and allow to cool for several hours before serving.
