Ingredients
1 lb whole Brussels sprouts
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 c olive oil
3/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp herbes de Provence
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Clean Brussels sprouts by cutting off little brown end and peeling off the top layer of leaves, then cut each sprout in half starting at the root end. Take the widest, oven-safe saute pan you have and literally dump in all ingredients in any order. This avoids dirtying a separate bowl. Use your hands to mix the halved sprouts with the oil and spices in the pan, then arrange each sprout ha;lf in the pan, sliced half down, so the wide part has contact with the pan. Place on lower rack of oven and pan roast for 20 minutes until a slight char forms on each side. Remove from oven and serve!
